What engines will fit as a replacement engine for a 1999 jeep wrangler?

My engine of 1999 Jeep Wranglers from coworkers and blew it wants to replace the motor. Currently has a 2.5 engine. It is only replaceable with a 2.5 engine for jeep wrangler. Any engine or Chrysler could be a 2.5 Cherokee. Other engines? need a mad fit without modification. ive heard the jeep ride in the motoring assemblies is very specific and only training to meet specific engine let me know if you know anything thanks
